The working group “protection of the district’s forests”, the forestry office Peitz and the fire officer of the district inform:

level I      stands for forest fire danger
level II      stands for increased forest fire danger
level III     stands for high forest fire danger
level IV     stands for highest forest fire danger

Note:

According to article 25 paragraph 3 forest law of the state of Brandenburg, access to the forests is prohibited when forest fire risk levels III or IV are announced.

Offences can be avenged with a fine of up to 10,000 Euros according to article 47 paragraph 2 point 5 in connection with paragraph 3.

According to article 26 forest law of the state of Brandenburg, the lighting and maintaining of a fire in the forest or within a distance of less than 100 metres to the edge of the forest is prohibited all-year. This applies to smoking as well. Offences are being avenged according to article 46 of the forest law of the state of Brandenburg as misdemeanour with a fine of up to 50,000 Euros.
