Spree Neiße forms part of the North German Lowlands.

It is distinguished by a landscape marked with the legacy of the ice age, with gentle hills, forests and lakes, typical of the Mark Brandenburg. A multitude of distinctive features characterise the region: the Spreewald (the Spree Forest), the river meadows of the Spree and the Neiße, or the Muskauer Faltenbogen.
